RED Team Rallies to Help Kids Get Back to School

To kick off the school year, RED Capital Group hosted a backpack drive for City of Love,  a nonprofit community outreach organization in Columbus, Ohio serving the homeless and families in need.

Even with a last-minute request, all departments rallied to gather backpacks, delivering 46 backpacks filled with school supplies just in time for the school year.

“On behalf of City of Love, I would like to give a big thank you to all the team members here in the Columbus office for their generosity with the backpack project,” said Brenda Easley, Insurance Representative at RED Capital Group. “Our contribution alone provided almost 50 children with backpacks and school supplies needed to complete their schoolwork.”

When Brenda Easley presented the Backpack Drive to the RED Community Engagement Corps, she was hoping that each of the 10 assigned groups would prepare one backpack.  Instead, the teams donated 46 filled backpacks and additional supplies. The donated supplies help to ensure all children have the tools needed for a successful school year.
